The U.S. Supreme Court in Immigration and Naturilization Service v. Jagdish Rai Chadha, 462 U.S. 919 (1983), explicitly stated that under Art. II, ยง 2, cl. 2, of the U.S. Constitution, “The Senate alone was given final unreviewable power to approve or to disapprove presidential appointments.

For that reason, I do not understand how Obama’s plethora of czars are not subject to review. In other words, the unconstitutionality is very clear; unlike many other aspects of the law that are not so black and white, but rather gray.

For the record, Reagan – yes, Reagan – starting the “czar” or “csar” (both are accepting as correct spelling(s)) position. If I’m not mistaken, he had TWO. G. W. Bush had 12 (at most). B. Hussein Obama, being in office for six months, has over (more…)
